Avatar Movie — The recent work of James Cameron, “Avatar” has just released a 3-minute extended trailer online via Yahoo!

avatar-movie-poster-online-preview-imageThe 3-minute movie preview of the upcoming movie “Avatar”, directed by James Cameron was just released.

Avatar, a live action film with a new generation of special effects, takes us to a spectacular world beyond imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on a journey of redemption and discovery as he leads an epic battle to save a civilization. James Cameron, the Oscar-winning director of Titanic, first conceived the film years ago, when the means to realize his vision did not yet exist. Now, after four years of actual production work, Avatar delivers a fully immersive cinematic experience of a new kind, where the revolutionary technology invented to make the film disappears into the emotion of the characters and the sweep of the story.

Avatar is starred by Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Peter Mensah, Laz Alonso, Wes Studi, Stephen Lang, Matt Gerald.

Here’s the online movie trailer you can watch courtesy of Yahoo! Movies.

More TV spots and trailers to be released on FOX this Sunday. The Avatar will be released in theatres December 18, 2009 in conventional 3D theaters and IMAX 3D.

No matter what people say in regards to the originality of the indigenous people of Pandora, or the similarites to aliens power loader, this film will make history. Thanks for people like James Cameron to keep Science fiction alive and pushing the envelope of cinema tech today.

  5. Howie says:

This movie does look like it has the vital intrinsique qualities ( believable characters, conflict, protaganists, and antaganists ) however this movie has exostential qualities as well,(similarity to current middle east ). The idea of a mineral making an otherwise unimportant region, worthy of immense financial, technological and human capital investment is the idea we are all to familiar with. The visual effects also are quite breathtaking, making this one movie that has a Body, a Mind and a Soul.

If the movie can live up to the visual claims of the trailer, then I believe that this movie will be the BEST film of 2009.
If the trailer is better than the Film, it still looks like a nice movie to kick back and eat some popcorn at the theater.
