World Cup Qualifying — Coming in a few hours is the match between Uruguay vs Costa Rica, which may be available via live stream tonight.

uruguay-vs-costa-rica-live-stream-image-212For the CONCACAF match tonight, Uruguay coach Oscar Washington Tabarez has demanded full concentration from his side as they look to secure a place in the World Cup finals against Costa Rica.

Tabarez’s side claimed a 1-0 advantage over the Ticos in the first leg of their play-off in San Jose on Saturday, meaning they are heavy favourites to progress on home soil at the Estadio Centenario.

The Uruguay boss is wary of complacency from his players, however, and demanded they go for the win.

”We must try to win the game because it is the only way to secure the final goal. This tie is not finished yet,” said Tabarez. ”We are close, but not in the World Cup yet. The worst thing would be to think about what is going to happen after the match instead of thinking of the match itself.”

Captain Diego Lugano, who scored the winner at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa at the weekend, highlighted the ”humility, sacrifice and will” his team-mates showed in the first game and backed the Chaurruas to finish the job.

”To win away was crucial and we did so. We should not miss out on qualification, we are confident. We have 90 minutes more to clinch our dream,” the Fenerbahce defender said.

Forward Sebastian Fernandez, one of the leading players for Argentinian league leaders Banfield, added: ”We have an advantage and we must profit from that. We could have won the first leg by a wider margin, but the win was crucial.”

The match will start at 23:00 UK time. Live streaming may be available via ESPN Soccernet.
