Iron Man 2 –Who else can complement the emotion that this armored hero can bring? You got it right, none other than AC/DC.
Through an exclusive partnership between Marvel Studios and Columbia Records, renowned band AC/DC music would serve as the soundtrack to the sequel of the 2008 smash hit film, Iron Man. Together with this, come Monday, April 19, 2010, Columbia Records will release the opus “AC/DC: Iron Man 2” which features 15 traditional AC/DC tunes chosen from 10 of the group’s studio works from 1976 to 2008.
The albums “AC/DC: Iron Man 2” and the deluxe version of “AC/DC: Iron man 2+ – CD+DVD and two LP vinyl packages are available on Walmart.com and Amazon.com, respectively. Internationally, the film would be released on April 28, 2010. As for the United States, it would be scheduled for launching on May 7, 2010 under Paramount Pictures.
The debut record from the “AC/DC: Iron man 2” is the band’s classic album track “Shoot to Thrill”, which was captured live last December 2009 in Buenos Aires during the group’s highly successful Black ice World Tour. According to concert industry trade magazine Pollstar, this was the second highest earning world tour of 2009. Included in the video are selected clippings from the “Iron Man 2” and debuts from around the world.
“Shoot To Thrill” was from the band’s “Back In Black” album, one of the best selling albums of all time.
