The Predators – - The Nashville Predators shined on Friday night after a crushing defeat at the hands of San Jose Sharks on Thursday.

The Anaheim Ducks were unable to beat Pekka Rinne despite 31 attempts thus ended up facing fifth loss in a row. Though he made 27 brilliant saves; Jonas Hiller was finally beaten.

The Friday night game’s highlights remained the brilliant display of professionalism by the trio of Jonas Hiller, Pekka Rinne and Shea Weber. 25-year-old Canadian NHL star Shea Weber that currently represents the Nashville Predators produced the one and only power-play goal during the entire contest and enabled the Predators to momentarily forget the agony they had the other night.

On Thursday night, the Predators had a tough time against the San Jose Sharks that crushed them by 8 goals to 5 courtesy of Joe Pavelski and again on Friday the victory they had against the Ducks; turned out to be kind of stolen one. The one-off goal came through an individual effort on part of Shea Weber while the opposing goaltender dismissed as many as 27 dashes by the Predators.

The other hero of the game was none other than 27-year-old Finnish star Pekka Rinne as the professional NHL hockey goaltender remained unbeaten throughout the Friday night clash. With his amazing ability of defense he blocked 31 hits by the Ducks and eventually; the Predators were able to advance two points ahead in the Western Conference. Prior to this they were at seventh-place but presently they’re placed ahead of Calgary that’s on eighth spot now.

Last night’s shutout was the 11th in his professional career for Rinne while his first since February this year and it was exactly 100th NHL game for the brilliant star that just got two-year contract extension worth $2.8 million on 24 February, 2010.
