Canon T2i – The leading manufacturer of compact digital cameras and film and digital SLR cameras launches its new digital single lens reflex camera called Rebel T2i which shoots 18 megapixel stills.

The all-new innovative and digital Canon Rebel T2i has lots of new features to appeal to those who want to move from a point-and-shoot, and most especially to photo enthusiasts.

Canon T2i takes most of the features of the more expensive EOS 7D camera. It also has the same 18 megapixel sensor, however it does have a lower channel reader (four-channel for T2i, and eight for 7D).

Here are some of Canon T2i’s features:

  • Canon T2i shoots at 3.7 frames per second, and it has a 9-point autofocus system that is lower than the 7D. However, it’s also about half the price.
  • Canon T2i can record up to 1080p at 24, 25, and 30fps. There is also video manual exposure capability.
  • Like the 7D, the T2i uses the Digic 4 engine, and also have a 63 zone, dual-layer metering system.
  • T2i uses both SDHC and SDXC memory cards.
  • It is the first SLR that supports SDXC.
  • Canon T2i has HDMI-CEC support.

You can purchase Canon T2i at your favorite stores worldwide starting at $799 (body only) and $899 (with lens).
