Guinness – - Guinness World Record holder for his extra-small size, He Pingping passed away on March 13, 2010 while away from home at the age 21 years.
According to reports He Pingping’s death occurred in Italy where he was reportedly brought to hospital following chest pain complaints. He died the same day in Rome.
It has been learned that the arrangements are being made to bring back the dead body of World Record Holder shortest-ever man on earth reported that could walk, to China. In a subsequent media conversation He Lihua the sister of He Pingping informed that none of the family members ever anticipated the bad news since there were no prior health issues whatsoever.
She further stated that the entire Batou village an Inner northern Mongolian area was saddened to hear the shocking news and that it had a real bad impact on all the people around. Meanwhile, Craig Glenday the editor-in-chief at the Guinness World Records also talked to the media and stated that ‘Due to his unusual and quite different personality, He Pingping was an inspiration to everyone that knew him.”
He Lihua was approached by the media over the telephone to get the news confirmed since his death occurred away from home in Rome, Italy. He successfully kept the record of being the World’s Smallest or Shortest Person for several years. Reportedly, he visited Italy to participate in some television show and it was during the filming of the show in question that he complained about chest pains.
According to He Lihua, poor He Pingping had gone homesick and he used to call him frequently over the past one week complaining that he wasn’t able to eat well too. No further details could be obtained whether what was the actual cause of his death for Pingping, however. It was further learned that instead of traveling to Italy, the family preferred to rely on the Italian TV company and hoped them to arrange for the funeral costs.
Due to primordial dwarfism, He Pingping couldn’t grow beyond 75 centimeters (while standing) and since he’s no more; Khagendra Thapa Magar the closest rival and a friend too, would most likely inherit the veil or mantle the ‘wine bottle’ held for several years.
