Flatwood Monster – - If there were credible evidence behind the existence of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO’s)
A lot of the skepticism in peoples minds would be removed but in the incident of the Flatwoods monster more than five people have claimed to have sighted the same thing. Such alignment of stories cannot be considered a mere coincidence though some believe that it may have been planned.
On the twelfth day of September roughly sixty years ago in the annum of 1952, three young boys were caught off guard by a UFO which made a landing in the town of Flatwoods in the West Virginian county of Braxton. Two of them were brothers while the third was a friend and they raced home to the May household to inform Kathleen, their mother, of what they had just witnessed. Upon hearing them Kathleen got the boys together and went with them to the site where the UFO was spotted, it was in the farm of G. Bailey Fisher. She also asked Eugene Lemon, a seventeen year old, to come along incase they might need his help as he had served in the military. Upon reaching the sight after climbing a hill all of them saw something that they would not forget for the remainder of their lives. It was a large creature with a glowing head that shone red and it stood ten feet tall. As they pointed their flashlight to make out what the creature was it dashed towards them causing them to panic and fleeing from the scene.
The creature has been named the Flatwoods monster and the eerie part of the story is that Lemon brought his dog along and the dog started running towards the site and barking after which it came back with its tail between its legs, almost as if it had seen a ghost. The site where the Flatwoods monster was seen had a strange mist to it that left the witnesses sick for days after the UFO had left. The director for the board of education also reports to have seen a UFO within the timeframe of this incident and doctors diagnosed the illness of the witnesses as either a product of mustard gas or hysteria. The stranger thing still is that an account of the same creature had been given by another two, a mother and child, who had seen the creature and smelt the smell just a week before the 12th of September. The incident had created such a trauma in the daughter that she had to be hospitalized for three weeks.
