Roll Call – - The most recent Roll Call that took place at Capitol Hill on the issues pertaining to the bewildered and, perhaps, exaggerated presence of the United States of America’s armed forces in Asian.
The state of Afghanistan opened the doors to debating the validity of the “war” for the very first time since the former American President George W. Bush sent the American youth to the front lines in the Afghan lands.
When the Roll Call ballot was cast, the unpopular “majority” won with three hundred and fifty six votes to a meager sixty five votes. The Roll Call was brought in to practice to gather a consensus of opinion from the political gurus (Democrats & Republicans alike) to establish whether Barack Hussein Obama, the current president of the United States of America, should bring the thousands of troops back home by the time this running year, 2010, comes to an end. As is quite obvious from the results of the Roll Call, such a thing will surely not be happening despite the anguish and disappointment of the key Democrats who initiated this notion.
The man behind the gun was Representative Dennis Kucinich (a Democratic rep from the state of Ohio) who earnestly believes that if the American troops are not recalled in time (which is running out real fast) they will end up meeting the same fate that befell earlier nations and armies that tried to invade the Afghan territory. After all, they do not call Afghanistan the “Cemetery of Empires” for no reason.
